Therapy as Collaboration
I can help you understand how your health is influenced by behaviour, programming and environment. Together we can find out how you can (re)gain control over these factors. I can help you take the drivers seat and gain responsibility over the process.
I can’t help you if you are looking for a magic pill but I can help you when, taking control over your health is A-priority, you want to understand the HOW and WHY of health, you are open for change and new strategies.

Clinical Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) is the study of how the mind, metabolism, nerve- and immune system interact to influence health and well-being. It explores the connections between psychological factors, neurological processes, and immune responses in the body. PNI specialists use lifestyle medicine as the foundation with scientifically proven interventions such as sleep education, nutritional therapy, stress management, nutraceuticals and movement. Treatment starts with comprehensive analysis of your history and current situation. Questionnaires can be used to gain deeper insights. If necessary, we can test additional biomarkers through blood, urine or stool analysis. Bio- and neurofeedback can be useful tools to guide and test the interventions.
PNI is proven to be effective for: chronic disease, gastro-intestinal disorders, inflammatory & auto-immune disease, skin conditions, recurring injuries, soft-tissue problems, hormonal disbalance, mental health and allergies.

The body looks like a symmetrical machine but biomechanically it functions a-symmetrical. Mapping the a-symmetry of your body allows for personalized interventions that re-center the whole system. This can be curative and preventive.
Form follows function
When an issue arises in your system it means that form (tissues) can no longer sustain their function. By digging for the root cause of the issue we can find a sustainable solution.Do you have an issue that needs careful and comprehensive examination? Is your body limiting your daily activities? Are you an athlete striving for high performance? Do you find it important to be AND stay in optima forma? Make an appointment through the online booking tool.

Orthomolecular medicine emphasises balance and harmony of natural substances, such as proteins, vitamins and minerals, to achieve optimal health.
Think of your body like a well-maintained garden. For the plants to flourish, they need the right amount of sunlight, water, and nutrients. Similarly, your body needs an optimal balance of certain substances to thrive. This optimal balance can vary from person to person, just as different gardens have different needs based on their plants and local conditions. By paying attention to what our bodies need and adjusting our diets or taking supplements when necessary, we can ensure that we're supplying our "internal garden" with what it needs to thrive. This approach can help us stay healthy and treat certain illnesses.
Orthomolecular Medicine is effective for:
allergies, nutritional sensitivities, skin issues, brain fog, inflammatory disease, gastro-intestinal disorders, chronic diseases and stress related problems. (note; this list is incomplete. Please sent an email if you are curious about Orthomolecular Medicine) -
Sleep is a delicate and complex process that is influenced by many factors. Psychological stressors, lifestyle, epigenetic programming and co-morbidities can disrupt the harmony of our day-night rhythm. Finding the root cause of the disbalance is a comprehensive journey through your life history. After having experienced sleeping difficulties myself, I am very familiar with its limiting effects on all aspects of life.
Sleep Medicine focusses on:
sleep apnea, snoring, insomnia, fatigue, general sleep issues -
Breathing pattern disorder (BPD) might sounds like something after lung injury but actually affects many people. Studies show that around 10% of the general population and up to 21% of adolescents suffer from BPD. I think these numbers are even higher because I see it everywhere, inside and outside of the clinical practice. Even among athletes and fit people, BPD is common and restricts utilizing their full potential. Many people go undiagnosed. Breathing re-education might be one of the cheapest interventions and affects all aspects of health and performance.
Symptoms of BPD are:
Feeling tense, dizziness, shortness of breath, sore muscles, fatigue, racing heart, cold hands or feet, anxiety, tingling fingers, bloated feeling in the stomach and inability to breathe deeply. (note; this list is incomplete. Please sent an email if you are curious about breath training) -
Feedback from our brainwaves (EEG) and heartrate (ECG) can help you tune into the fine workings of your bodily functions. Seeing your nerve system respond in real time to the environment and internal processes gives cues for how to find balance and harmony.
Biofeedback can be insightful for:
sleep quality, stress management, deep relaxation, emotional affect control, focus and concentration, meditation, resilience and performance.
